What does the future hold for fitness?

I think we could apply the idea of technology to fitness. What does the future hold for fitness? What kind of future fitness machines will we as humans invent? What is the best way to get fit? Why is that for some people getting fit is easy and others it is not? How do the movie stars get six pack abs? With our everyday lives and our schedules how do we make time to get fit? What are the best ways of getting fit and having a leaner better looking body?

It is an American tradition, after the holidays, to make a New Year's Resolution in getting fit. The American Fitness Industry pulls in billions of dollars off of people wanting to get leaner and thinner. You have probably seen those magic pills they have came out with claiming you will be slimmer if you take them. Then there are the diets, the gym, the protein shakes, etc. Science is supposed to be improving the way we look and feel, yet most Americans are becoming fatter every day. Why? We are probably one of the fattest countries in the world. At McDonalds we see a Big Mac and it is loaded in fat and calories, yet most Americans choose to eat it because it tastes good. In my observations it is cheaper to eat unhealthy than it is to eat healthy. More and more restaurants are coming out with healthier menus. Subway was one of the first ones that started the idea with coming out with Subway sandwiches that were 7 grams of fat or less. I noticed the other day that Taco Bell now has what they call the Drive-In Diet or Fresco Style Menu. Buying Produce is more expensive than buying Little Debbie Snack cakes and other junk food. The store is more likely to put junk food on sale more than healthy foods. Why? Most Americans at the first of the year are good about eating healthy, but by spring we are right back where we started. Why? It would look like someone out there could come up with a definite plan of action to make our bodies fit. But, what is that plan of action?

The drug Alli, maybe some of you may have heard of it?, is suppose to be FDA approved. But, does it really work? Why is it that some people can eat anything in site and still remain skinny? While others if they just look at a cheesecake gain weight? Is this genetics? Is there something that we could all take to improve our metabolism? I have been recently taking Green Tea pills. The drug claims to give you more energy and improve your metabolism. How do I know the drug is really working? They always say you should consult your doctor, but hello doctors are expensive!!! So every time we want to start a new diet plan we are suppose to consult our doctors? Most likely this is a legal thing. Many of us can not afford to see a doctor about everything.

If you have seen the Disney cartoon Wall-E you will see a world where we are all fat. All we do all day long is sit in our chairs, connected into a network. Could humans continue to evolve? Here is a month long question for you! Does technology make humans evolve in appearance and in actions or do humans evolve with technology? The answer could be a little bit of both. Technology has greatly increased laziness in my opinion. For example years ago you had to get up and shut off the TV. Now you have a remote! Humans do not have to walk anymore to very many places. We have cars to get around in. We also do not have to use the stairs. We have elevators for that! Of course we take all this for granted.

I have been working out at the gym. One thing I noticed is they have all of these machines that are supposed to work different parts of the body. Why not have an exercise simulator that when you get in it, it would allow you to do your cardio and weights all in one machine. In case you have not notice I am all about having one machine do a lot of different things. It would certainly save a lot of room at the gym. I hate waiting on a machine I need. Someone else always seems to be occupying it. If there was many machines that all did the same thing then I would not have to worry about this.

Is there a way we can invent a food that will be filled with all kinds of nutrients and no fat? I have seen on TV they have the "Full Bar". It is suppose to be an alternative to gestural bypass surgery. But, do these really work? Are they just like the magic pills that are suppose to make you slimmer, but don't? Many statics claim that most of these so called "magic pills" really do more harm than good. They can affect your heart for example.

I was watching a few videos on YouTube that claim to be the "Future" of exercise and getting fit. One in particular cracked me up! It was a guy on a tread mill that acted like a vehicle that you could take a stroll down the road with. LOL What do you think the future of exercise and getting fit holds?
